Muskogee Police Release Video Of Elderly Woman Pepper Sprayed

Muskogee police released video from an officer’s body camera last week showing an officer using pepper spray on an 84-year-old woman.

Geneva Smith's family says Muskogee Police pepper sprayed her when they tried to arrest her son.

The family members said she had to go to the hospital. They're demanding an apology from the police department.

Muskogee Police said Smith was non-compliant to verbal commands and tried to resist an officer’s attempt to physically restrain her.

Officers said they then used pepper spray.
