A man and woman are dead after a shooting at a Tulsa bar. Authorities are looking for the suspect.
Homicide Sergeant Dave Walker said officers and other first responders were called to the Bienvenidos Bar Al Siete De Copas club near Pine and Lewis around 1 a.m. Monday, October 10, 2016. TPD says a man and woman were shot, and both were dead before police showed up.
"There's some bar stools tipped over, and it doesn't look like a big ruckus was inside - and it doesn't look like a lot of people were in there," Walker said.
Police questioned a witness who they said was a relative of one of the victims and are looking for the shooter. Walker described the suspect as a Hispanic male 30 to 35 years old. He's about 5 feet tall and 170 pounds.
Walker said the suspect was "making advances" to the female relative who was tending bar.
"A disturbance occurs when the female victim, who is related to the bartender, tells the suspect to leave," he said. "The victim and her boyfriend have words with the suspect, and the suspect produces a handgun and shoots the couple."
The victims' names have not been released as police notify family members. Police said the bartender is not considered a suspect.
Walker said they believe other witnesses may have been present at the time of the shooting. They are asking anyone with information to contact them through Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS or the Homicide Tip Line at 918-798-8477.
