A woman was attacked by a woman and two men wearing clown masks Saturday night just outside Pryor city limits when the woman flagged her down and she stopped her vehicle to help her, the Mayes County Sheriff's Office said.
The victim's brother passed away a few days ago and she was on her way home from a fundraiser related to his death when she was attacked, MCSO said.
The attack happened in Mayes County just west of Pryor on 500 Road at about 10:10 p.m. when the victim was driving westbound and drove up on a newer model red Dodge minivan on the side of the road, police said.
The victim stopped when she got closer to the minivan and a white female stepped out from near the van and flagged her down.
The victim stopped her car and the white female walked to the driver's side door followed by two suspects wearing clown masks, the sheriff's office said.
The two men in clown masks then dragged the victim out of her car and held her down while the female wrote 'clown posse' on her face, extinguished a cigarette out on the victim's face and then choked her, law enforcement said.
The three suspects then got back into their van and drove westbound on West 500 Road.
The female suspect is between the ages of 30-35 years old and was last seen wearing a red tank top, white shorts, no shoes and she had very short blonde hair. MCSO didn't have a description of the two male suspects.
The Mayes County Sheriff's Office is asking anyone with information about the attack to call them at 918-825-3535.
