A Sapulpa church that serves as a polling place was out of power briefly on election day. Foundation Church on Highway 97 north of West 81st Street lost power Tuesday morning - along with about 1,400 other customers.

Voters were still able to cast their ballots, however.

Election board secretary said the county commissioner furnished lighting, and precinct workers put the ballots in a box temporarily. Now that power has been restored, they were to run them through the voting machines.

O.G.&E. repaired the problem which was thought to be a blown transformer. Electricity was shut off for about 30 minutes.

There is a long line of people standing in line to vote which is a similar story at many polling places. Tulsa County set a new record for in-person early voting.
