Police are looking for 53-year-old man they are calling a person of interest in Tulsa's 70th homicide of 2016.
Sgt. Dave Walker identified the man as 53-year-old James Mahdavi. He says Mahdavi frequent homeless camps along the Arkansas River.
Just before 9:30 p.m. Friday, police were called about a shooting at the Holiday Motel in the 3200 block of West Charles Page Boulevard.
Upon arrival, officers found two victims. One, a 51-year-old man was lying in the parking lot with a head wound. He was pronounced dead early Saturday. The other victim, was found in a room of the motel suffering from a gunshot wound. Police say that victim is expected to recover.

Sgt. Walker says after talking to several witnesses, they believe James Mahdavi is a suspect in this case.
He says Mahdavi ran away after the shooting and is to be considered armed and dangerous.
Sgt. Walker says if anyone knows where Mahdavi is they need to call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
