Two dogs are proving to be children's best friends in some Green Country courtrooms.

Rogers County District Attorney Matt Ballard swore in "Jerzy" and "Bear" as official therapy dogs Friday.

The dogs will provide comfort and support to victims, including children, who testify in Craig, Mayes and Rogers Counties.

"I've also witnessed a child talking to investigators where she's talking about some really awful things and was embarrassed and started to cry, and Jerzy raised up and licked her tears, and the little girl threw her arms around her and said 'this is the best day of my life!'"

The dogs work the same hours as their owners at the Rogers County Courthouse.
