Tulsa's new mayor G. T. Bynum took part in his first ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday afternoon at the Boxyard.
The Boxyard is a micro-retail venue in the East Village of downtown Tulsa, built out of 39 re-purposed shipping containers.
When the Boxyard officially opens on Saturday, you'll find a variety of tenants offering everything from entertainment, clothing, jewelry, food, and other services.
"This is going to bring 20 different businesses on one corner back into downtown Tulsa," said Casey Stowe, Developer.
"That's us. That's what we want to be involved in. That's exactly the thing we want to be a part of. We want to be working with other local Tulsa places," said business owner Kristine Ellis.
Eight stores will be ready for business for Saturday's grand opening.
