Crews Battle Large Wildfire Near Shawnee

Crews are working to get a handle on a large wildfire near Shawnee, Tuesday afternoon.

Authorities tell News 9 the fire has consumed more than 80 acres of land so far near the Shawnee Reservoir. The fire is located on the southwest side of the reservoir, near EW County Rd. 116 and Patterson Rd.

The is advancing slowly toward a mobile home park in the area, but so far no structures have been damaged . The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
