Oklahoma Gas & Electric said crews are working to restore power to most customers Saturday. Checotah residents are still expected to be without electricity until Sunday.
The storms caused significant damage to the power company's infrastructure in the Checotah area, OG&E tweeted Saturday morning.

Along Highway 69, just south of town, was the hardest hit area. A downed power pole left a chunk of town without power.
They do not have an estimate for power to be restored in the Sulphur area.
Crews are working to restore power to a majority of customers today. Sulphur and surrounding areas - assessing. Checotah - power by Sunday.
