Tulsa police officer Betty Shelby is expected to be back at work Monday morning, just a few days after she was acquitted of first-degree manslaughter in the death of Terence Crutcher.

Shelby is returning to duty for the police department, but they're not saying what area she'll be working in.

Police Chief Chuck Jordan said in an emailed statement on Friday that she will not work in a patrol capacity.

A jury found Shelby not guilty Wednesday night. She was facing first-degree manslaughter charges after shooting Terence Crutcher in September.

The jury foreman said in a statement that the jury asked Jordan to review Shelby's decision-making before reinstating her.

Shelby has been on unpaid leave with the department since September.
