A Tulsa County deputy is facing charges for unlawfully carrying a firearm while intoxicated.
Court documents say Raul Nieves was in uniform and armed with his issued Glock 21 when he was arrested.
The documents say he submitted to alcohol breath tests and performed a 0.117 and 0.106.
The legal limit is 0.08.
The sheriff's office said Nieves was placed on paid leave at the time of the incident. They said he was placed on unpaid leave Tuesday when charges were approved.
They said he will remain on unpaid leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
Nieves was hired as a deputy in September 2005.
