It's back to school Monday morning for students at Tulsa Public Schools. Classes start at Marshall at 7:30 Monday morning.

It will be a busy day for students and teachers, between the typical first-day lessons and getting ready to watch the Eclipse in the afternoon.

News On 6 has been keeping up with TPS all summer as they've worked to fill their teaching vacancies.

They had several career fairs where many teachers were hired on the spot.

Now, they still have 10 positions to fill.

In the meantime, other certified district staff, including Superintendent Dr. Deborah Gist, will head into the classroom these first few days to fill in until they're able to hire those new teachers.

Hear from Dr. Gist live at 6 a.m. on 6 In The Morning.
