Police say two officers suffered injuries after chasing and arresting two Tulsa burglary suspects early Tuesday.
The suspects are identified as Gear Workman, 23, and Brandon Ralph, 25.
Officers said just after 1 a.m. police responded to a burglary alarm at the Blue Rose Cafe in the 1900 block of Riverside Drive.
Officers caught one of the men coming out of the cafe, while the second man ran off.
Police say a short time later, an officer spotted that man hiding in a tree before he took off running again. They said during that chase, an officer suffered a broken ankle, spraining the other ankle as well as a knee, jumping off a 12-foot high elevated surface. The other officer pulled both hamstrings and a groin muscle during that same chase.
The second man was eventually arrested in the 1400 block of South Houston.
Police say a crowd of homeless individuals were hanging out near the cafe, when they believe someone broke out a window with a skateboard and climbed inside. A second man also went inside the cafe. After stealing several liquor bottles, both ran out the door.
Police say both Workman and Ralph were booked into the Tulsa County jail on complaints including second-degree burglary.
Both injured officers were treated and released from the hospital.
