Woman With Tulsa Ties Missing Following Hurricane Harvey

An Omni Hotel employee who graduated from Memorial High School is missing following Hurricane Harvey. Jill Renick went missing from the Omni Houston Hotel near the Galleria, a spokesperson said.

Kristen Cadenhead sent News On 6 the following statement:

“We regret to confirm that amid rapidly rising flood waters at the Omni Houston Hotel near the Galleria, an associate went missing and remains unaccounted for. 

The Houston Police Department is handling the search efforts at the property. Our thoughts and prayers go out to our associate's family during this difficult time.”

Renick graduated from Memorial in 1987 and was in town this summer for a weekend, a friend tells us. The friend described Renick as an outgoing, strong and caring person who went missing while trying to help others.

She was helping evacuate the hotel, the friend said.
