"I'm still in shock right now. It really hasn't even set in because there's been so many tasks to complete," BJ Crocker said.
For Crocker, it's a lot to deal with.
"It's a huge loss and I'm going to try to take the reigns over it and continue on with their legacy," he said.
Like many Sand Springs residents, he said his parents were always there for others, something Evan taught him and his friend Travis their entire lives
"He had a huge heart. And that's what his main goal was to do was to help other people and just make sure everybody pretty much was taken care of," said family friend Travis Smith.
Evan and Cathy gave back to their community through their company - Production Air Services - offering free helicopter tours during Christmas for children battling cancer.
"Just donating money, that wasn't good enough for them. You know what I mean. They were so selfless and wanted to be such a part and give back what was given to them," BJ Crocker said.
BJ and Travis now run the company and promise to carry on the Crocker's spirit of giving.
"Try to conduct business as usual...continue on with the benefit, continue on with the company. We got a lot of contracts to fulfill and just keep pressing forward," Crocker said.
Funeral services will be held in Friday morning in Sand Springs.
