Tulsa Crews Fight Apartment Fire

Five families are looking for a new place to stay after a fire at an apartment complex.

Flames sparked shortly before 6 p.m. Friday evening at Magnolia Manor Apartments near I-44 and Yale.

TFD said it had to call in extra crews to help contain the fire because of high winds.

One neighbor said he opened his front door and saw nothing but smoke. That's when he started warning his neighbors.

"I knocked on all the one's on top and then I came down and started banging on the one's on the bottom,” said fire victim Keith Burton.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
