Tulsa Company Matching Donations To Community Food Bank

An Oklahoma company is stepping up to help fight hunger in Tulsa.

Dolese Brothers Company announced it will match all donations made to the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma.

The concrete company said if volunteers choose to donate money as well as their time, then they'll match that up to $20,000.

The total campaign impact equals 160,000 meals.

"It really makes people think a little bit harder about, ‘I may have one dollar in my pocket. I don't know that a dollar is gonna make a big difference, but suddenly, when it's two dollars, then that becomes 16 meals," said Eileen Bradshaw with the food bank.

Organizers said they also put food bags together in anticipation of Monday’s teacher walkout.
