Sperry Man Arrested After Police Find Homemade Explosives During Drug Bust

Police arrest a Sperry man on complaints of possessing homemade explosives, Meth and terrorism following a search of his home early Sunday.

He is identified as 58-year-old William Peoples, Jr.

In a post on the department's Facebook page, Sperry Police say officers served a search warrant at a home in the 200 block of West Birch Place just before 7 a.m.

After finding Meth, firearms, and homemade explosives, they took Peoples into custody.  Police say inside the home, they found a stick on homemade dynamite, pill bottles with black powder, fuses and shrapnel inside.

Police booked William Peoples, Jr. into the Tulsa County jail.
