OHP: Braggs Man Drowns In Muskogee County Pond

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a 70-year-old Braggs man drowned Monday evening in a pond near his home.

He is identified as Paul Thornpaugh.  

According to the OHP, Thornpaugh's wife was unable to locate him, before eventually finding his body partially submerged in the pond at 7:30 p.m. 

The couple's home is located about a mile west of Braggs.

Thornpaugh's body was taken to the state's Medical Examiner's Office in Tulsa for an autopsy.
