Small Plane Makes Emergency Landing In NW OKC

The pilot of a small plane Monday made an emergency landing just short of Wiley Post Airport in Northwest Oklahoma City.

Fire officials say the aircraft had mechanical failure shortly after 1:30 in the afternoon.

The pilot, who walked away uninjured, set the single engine aircraft down between a large Sprint Call Center and an American Cancer Society building. The aircraft skidded another 100 yards before coming to rest in a field.
