Tulsa firefighters responded to a fire call at the AT&T building near 5th Street and Detroit Avenue.  Officials said the 3rd floor sprinklers went off.

Firefighters said there was a small fire in the building, but the sprinkler system put it out. Everyone in the building made it out safely.

Soon after the fire, Tulsa County 911 centers began experiencing outages. Tulsa Police said they lost 911 service around 8:15 a.m. Outages were quickly reported at several towns in Tulsa County, Mayes County and other locations in northeast Oklahoma.

Service was restored to some areas by early afternoon, and departments continue to report their 911 system becoming functional again.

Tulsa Police Officers were stationed at QuikTrip stores, major intersections and fires. Citizens were told to look for officers at those locations or at the three uniform divisions:  7515 S. Riverside Parkway, 3436 N. Delaware Ave., and 10122 E. 11th St.

Jenks, Owasso and Sand Springs are some of the departments that used temporary numbers for people needing emergency help.

AT&T issued the following statement:

"Services have been restored for customers in the Tulsa area following a fire at one of our facilities earlier today. We worked as quickly and as safely as conditions allowed to repair damaged equipment, and apologize to anyone who was affected."
