Man's Body Found Along Road In North Tulsa

Homicide detectives are investigating after a man’s body was found along a road in north Tulsa on Friday.

TPD Sgt. Dave Walker said that the body was spotted by a man who was driving by in the 5600 block of East 36th Street North about 12 p.m.  

Police think the body, which was found on its side, had been there about 12 hours.

The medical examiner found no visible signs of trauma on the body after an examination at the scene. The body will be taken to the ME's office where a cause and manner of death will be determined.

The man had identifiable tattoos, and there was a wallet in the back pocket of his pants, Walker said. 

“Kinda on his side. Once he was rolled there or stopped there, he hasn’t been moved,” Walker said. “I don’t think he died there.”

Walker said detectives have a couple of early theories about what happened.

“[Could have been] an overdose and someone didn’t know what to do with him and dumped him there, and the other thing [could be] that he’s been killed and that’s why he was dumped,” Walker said.
