'A Very Good Kid': Funeral Held For 15-Year-Old Henryetta Murder Victim

Fifteen-year-old Brittany Brewer was laid to rest on Wednesday morning. She was one of the six people killed more than a week ago in Okmulgee County.

Her family and friends shared many nice stories about her at her service in Henryetta.

They said Brewer was loyal, hard-working, and responsible, and said they can't believe she's gone.

Those who spoke about Brewer said she was known for her strong faith. They said Brewer was a great sister, a great student, and a great friend.

Brewer was one of the six people shot to death outside of Henryetta last week. Investigators said Jesse McFadden killed the victims and then killed himself.

People said Brewer’s sweet personality will be missed.

"Very helpful, was a joy to be around,” said Joyce Henderson. “She was a student that the teacher would always send to the office to get things and help with her students and stuff. Just always a real bubbly personality, very sweet girl."

Henderson works at the Elementary School and said Brewer would always stop by and talk when she saw her.

"Just a very good kid,” said Henderson. “Usually, when kids leave the elementary, and we see them in middle school and high school, she was the type to always want to speak. Yeah, very sweet."
