Police Looking For Recent Murder Suspect

Tulsa homicide detectives are stumped on a murder case and they're hoping you can help. News On 6 crime reporter Lori Fullbright reports the murder happened at 5 a.m. on Saturday, April 19th at 1200 North Boston Avenue.

The call came in as a man down, but, what they found was much more serious, Charles Fanning was still in the driver's seat of his car, shot to death.

"What we truly need is the last person to see Mister Fanning alive, who knew where he was going, why he was going," said TPD Officer Leland Ashley.

Detectives admit they have practically no information in this case and they need leads and are willing to talk to anyone who was in the neighborhood that morning.

"There was an individual who knocked on a homeowner's door and asked to call police. We'd like to talk to that individual, maybe they saw something," said Officer Ashley.

Police don't want Fanning's death to become just an unsolved case in their files; they want to find his killer, for his sake and for the safety of the community.
