Tulsa Motorcyclist Dies Following Wreck On Broken Arrow Expressway

Deborah Vaught, a Tulsa woman injured in a motorcycle crash Saturday on the Broken Arrow Expressway, has died. Vaught was taken off life support and passed away Sunday, according to Joy McGill of Saint John Hospital.

Police are looking for witnesses to the wreck they say took place at 12:17 p.m. near the interchange with Interstate 44. Vaught was westbound when a car that was exiting the BA Expressway to I-44 abruptly changed lanes in front of her.

Officer Leland Ashley of the Tulsa Police Department said advance traffic investigators were called to the scene just before 1 p.m.

"They believe the vehicle that cut her off was a tan or brown car, but that is the only description we have," Ashley said.

Stephanie Hatter, the president of Vaught's motorcycle chapter, Women in the Wind, said they hope the driver will come forward to "fill in the blanks" of the wreck.

Vaught, 46, was a graduate of Owasso High School and a business owner.
