Tulsa's Camelot Cancer Care Owner Agrees To Stop Fighting Restraining Order

A Tulsa woman who runs Camelot Cancer Care has agreed to a temporary injunction issued by a Tulsa court in November at the request of the Oklahoma Department of Health. 

In court papers filed Thursday, Maureen Long agreed to stop fighting the restraining order, but does not admit to allegations she was treating cancer patients without a medical license.

Last month, the OSDH sought the order against Long for treating cancer patients in local motel rooms. State officials said one of Long's patients died in November after receiving treatments at a Tulsa hotel. They don't know yet if the woman's death is tied to the treatments or the result of her cancer.

In Thursday's filing, Long agrees to stop mixing up intravenous drug solutions and selling drugs for any purpose other than what is approved by the FDA.
