Osage SkyNews 6 HD encountered a bald eagle in an unlikely place on Tuesday afternoon.
Pilot Will Kavanagh calls it the Iron Triangle. It's the intersections of Highway 169, the Broken Arrow Expressway and Interstate 44.
Kavanagh and photojournalist Michael Woods were shooting other news when they saw the bald eagle at about 1,500 feet.
They spent about two and a half minutes watching the bald eagle soar on a thermal, never having to flap its wings. Click on the video above to watch the eagle make soaring over Tulsa look effortless.
You can watch a bald eagle pair raise its young on a nest near Vian, by clicking on our Bald Eagle Nest Camera page. The pair has already laid an egg.
