The Tulsa County Sheriff said no reserve deputy will be allowed to perform their duties until they first complete a simulator training program and have all their training records in order.
Sheriff Stanley Glanz said the simulator training will also be required for all paid deputies.
It puts them through scenarios which teach them when to pull their Taser and when to pull their gun.
This announcement follows an April 29 announcement of changes being made to the reserve deputy program.

Glanz announced reserve deputies are no longer allowed to patrol by themselves and that the entire program was being postponed while a records audit of each reserve training file took place.
The sheriff said reserve deputies would still be utilized as long as they were partnered with a certified deputy.
