A man accused of sexually assaulting a 5-year-old girl has pleaded guilty.
Prosecutors say Kyle Hancock broke into the girl's home in May 2014. The girl's mother woke when she heard the girl crying, and she found Hancock sexually assaulting her daughter. She pulled Hancock off the girl and he ran away.
He later was arrested and charged with the crime.
Among the witnesses that link Hancock to the crime is a man who was with him at the time of his arrest. According to the police report, the man confronted Hancock about the rape.
