Two Critical When Motorcycle, SUV Collide On Tulsa Street

Two people are in critical condition after a motorcycle and SUV collided Saturday.

Emergency crews responded to the accident near 53rd and Peoria just before 8:00 p.m.

Jeremy Noland with Tulsa Police said it appears the  SUV was pulling out of a private drive onto Peoria when it hit the motorcycle driving south on Peoria.

Noland said the male and female that were on the motorcycle were taken to a hospital in critical condition. He said the female probably has a head injury and the male a severe arm injury.

A helmet was found at the scene, but Nolan could not confirm if it was being worn.

Peoria was blocked for several hours between 51st and 54th Streets until traffic investigators finished.

Noland said the driver of the SUV appeared to be ok.
