Broken Arrow Police closed Hillside Drive Tuesday due to damage to the roadway.
The closure stretches from from Charleston’s parking lot east to Sprout’s Parking lot. Police said Charleston’s, Sprout’s and Los Cabos will not be affected by the closure.
The road is at the base of a huge retaining wall. A photo provided by the police department shows that the concrete curb has buckled at the base of the wall. The damage was likely caused by the holiday weekend's huge amount of rainfall.
The police said the closure will last indefinitely.
The city had just expanded the road last summer.

The expansion was designed to improve access to the stores and restaurants in the area.
