Police arrested a Jenks mother on a child neglect complaint Thursday night after conducting a welfare check at her residence.
Officers were called to the 1000 block of West F Street at around 9:30 p.m. They said they got no response when they knocked on the door. Authorities said they found Brady Ross, 26, passed out on the floor and a crying baby in a soiled diaper and shirt next to a floor heater.
Jenks Police said Ross smelled of alcohol, and the baby appeared to have multiple rashes. Officers searched the home and said they found no bed or formula for the baby. EMSA took the child to a Tulsa hospital to be checked out.
Officers said when they woke Ross, she told them she had been drinking and went to sleep at about 6 p.m.
Police booked her into the Tulsa County jail. Jail records show Brady Ross is being held on a $50,000 bond with a court appearance set for January 14
