Tulsa Man Pleads Guilty To Killing Infant In 2015

A 30-year-old Tulsa man pleaded guilty to child abuse murder during a court appearance Friday morning. 

Cody Johnson was charged with the death of 16-month-old Sawyer Jefferson in December 2015.  

Prosecutors accused Johnson of using unreasonable force on the child causing fatal bleeding and swelling of the brain. Police say Johnson beat and sexually assaulted the little girl leading to her death.

Court records show Cody Johnson is scheduled to be sentenced October 12th.
