The father of a critically injured 9-month-old infant was arrested for theft while at a Tulsa hospital. Joshua David Grant Hunt, 31, is in the Tulsa jail after police said he was caught with a woman's purse.
Hunt was injured during a home invasion Wednesday night, October 5, 2016. Police said three people broke into his apartment using a back window. There was a dispute over some personal property, and a suspect reportedly injured Hunt and his infant child, authorities said. The baby was struck in the head with a large metal bar, according to police.
An arrest report states police were contacted by hospital security with surveillance video that shows Hunt taking an unattended purse from a waiting area and going through it in the elevator. The victim's son reportedly found his mother's phone in Hunt's back pocket.
Hunt was booked on complaints of knowingly concealing stolen property, grand larceny and an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for obtaining property by trick or deception.
Police have one of the suspects in custody who reportedly broke into Hunt's apartment. Jordan Morrow, 20, is in jail on complaints of child neglect, assault with a deadly weapon and first-degree burglary.
