The City of Tulsa needs your help preserving a piece of history.

OU's Carl Albert Center wants people who lived through the 1984 Mingo Creek flooding to bring in their photos or anything that helps record that historic time.

They want it for a special exhibit next month at Central Library.

“We would love for those residents that were involved or victims of the 1984 flood to come on out and share their stories,” said City of Tulsa Public Works supervisor, Bill Robinson.

The event is happening December 1st, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.

The center will scan the pictures and give participants flash drives with their pictures.

If you don't have any pictures, the center says you can also record your story.
