Gunfire at a Tulsa QuikTrip left an innocent 15-year-old bystander hurt.
Police said countless bullet casing were spread all through the parking lot of the QuikTrip near I-244 and Sheridan.
They said some of the shots went through the store and hit a girl shopping inside with her mother while other shots hit multiple cars in the parking lot.
Police said it started with two people shooting at each other. They said a car pulled up into the store and started shooting at a man at the gas pumps.
They said the man being shot at ran inside but later saw a similar car go by and started shooting at it. That car turned out to be an innocent bystander.
Police said it’s still not clear why the person drove up and started shooting.
They said in all the gunfire, only innocent people were impacted.
The suspects got away. Police believe there were at least two, but there could be more in the cars that drove off.
“You're lucky there isn't more. You're also lucky there weren't a bunch of people up here with their concealed carry permit and we didn't have some massive gun battle," Sergeant Steve Stoltz said.
Police said they have surveillance video of the entire incident and said they expect the suspects to be identified quickly.
The innocent 15-year-old is expected to be okay.
