Police are investigating Tulsa's 64th homicide of the year after officers were called just before 5:30 p.m. Tuesday to the Sierra Pointe Apartments in the 13700 block of South 107th East Avenue.
Inside an apartment, police say a woman was found dead from apparent stab wounds.
Police Sgt. Dave Walker say the victim, who has not yet been identified, made several phone calls Monday night to her friends saying she was scared of her boyfriend. None of her friends were able to get back with her.
Tuesday afternoon, police say the victim's mother was worried about her daughter and came to check on her.
A security guard let her into the apartment and that is where they found the victim stabbed to death.
The victim was in her mid 20's and had a one-year-old son.
We're told the baby was not at the apartment at the time of the attack, he was with family and investigators tell us he's safe.
Police believe the attack happened Monday night and they are now looking for the victim's boyfriend.
"I'm not 100 percent going to say that we are looking for him as a person of interest because we got to make sure one, he's okay and two, he probably has some sort of story to tell us about what happened if anything or where we are going to find the killer," said Tulsa Police Sgt. Dave Walker.
