Family and friends said final goodbyes to two Northeastern State University students after five were killed in a tragic crash.
Thursday in Indianola, just north of McAlester, cars packed into the parking lot of the high school gym and lined nearby streets to say goodbye to Jessica Swartwout.

One of Swartwout’s friends, Christina Griffiths, said Swartwout was the first person to welcome her when she started school at Indianola. She said her friend was spunky and outgoing, but, most of all, loved by the entire community.
"She was nice to anyone and everyone. She always welcomed everybody. She was just that type of person. She loved everybody, she cared about everybody," Griffiths said.
Lily Murphy was also laid to rest Thursday. Her memorial service was held in Gentry, Arkansas.
Murphy leaves behind parents, grandparents, a sister and two brothers. She was 18 years old.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the five students died when their pickup crashed through a guardrail and fell into a creek.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
