Oklahoma City Police are looking for the person or persons responsible for a weekend shooting that left one person dead.

So far police have made no arrests in this case. But that's because they say they've been given very little information to work with.

Officers responded to a house in the 1600 block of N.W. 14th Street around 3:30 Sunday morning, after someone called saying they heard shots in the area.

"The calling party reported that they did not think anything or anyone was hit," said Captain Dexter Nelson with the Oklahoma City Police Department. "But when officers arrived, they found a gentleman in a home that had been shot."

That gentleman has been identified as 35-year-old Jason Monnier. The picture shown is his mugshot from last year.

Turns out he spent some time in jail after being arrested on a drug charge. Neighbors say he lived at this home with his mother and stepfather.

A closer look revealed the home is for sale and it looks like the front door of the home had been kicked in. We knocked on every single door on the block, and no one was willing to talk to us on camera. That's because they say this house was a known drug house. Police confirm they had heard the same.

Now they are trying to connect the dots, in their attempt to track down the person responsible for the deadly shooting.

"We currently have very little information to work with," said Capt. Nelson. "We do have some vehicle information, but the detectives are trying to confirm that information before they release it."

We did talk to two family members who live across the street, but neither of them wanted to go on camera or make any sort of comment. They just hope police find the killer, and put him in jail.

This marks the 45th homicide in Oklahoma City so far this year.

If you have any information that can help police catch the killer, you are urged to call the homicide tip line at 297-1200.
