Dorothea Butanda set to be released from prison after serving 9 months of what was originally a 9-year sentence
Butanda is the mother of Gage and Dakota Shriver who are both in prison for a 2015 hit and run crash that killed Noelle New and severely injured Maranda Talley in Rogers County.
Brothers Sentenced To 25 Years For Rogers County Fatal Hit-And-Run
Butanda pled guilty to accessory after the fact of 2nd-degree murder and accessory to leaving the scene or a fatal crash and injury crash and also, obstructing (lying to) officers. After her initial 9 year sentence, she tried twice to withdraw her guilty plea, but the judge declined.

In January of this year, the judge shortened her sentence to 3 years in prison, with the rest suspended.
