Tulsa Police Investigating Homicide At Apartment

Tulsa Police are investigating a homicide at the Tulsa Lewiston Apartments off Lewis Ave. South of I-44.

According to Tulsa police, a witness reported that a man had been beaten to death by another man with some sort of stick or blunt instrument. Neighbors say the two men could be heard arguing minutes before.

The suspect was tracked down about a block away from where the beating took place. He has been taken into custody but his identity has not been released.

"It was apparently a very long assault and it happened over about a 15-minute time-span. He was, well, obviously beaten up bad enough to kill him," said TPD Sgt. Brandon Watkins.

Homicide detectives are on the scene and reportedly working on getting a search warrant in order to attain the weapon used in the assault.
