TULSA, Oklahoma - Tulsa Police are investigating a shooting that took place near 2100 ML Blvd.
Police say the shooting happened in the parking lot of a convenience store and there were several people around when the shooting began. Investigators are trying to use witness statements to piece together what happened but its proving to be easier said than done.
Officers originally got a call of shots being fired around 6:30 p.m. and at first, they believed a family was involved. When they got to the scene, they found a victim with a gunshot wound lying near a car. Witnesses say there were at least 15 shots exchanged.
A second car was hit from the gunfire with a man and his son inside but police say no one in the car was injured. Officers say at this point they believe several people were involved but they are getting conflicting stories.
"Right now we are just trying to put our physical evidence together to match it to the stories we are getting and right now the physical evidence is not matching up to what we are getting from witnesses and the victim himself," said TPD Sgt. Marcus Harper.
Police are still trying to gather information so if you know anything about this shooting, you are asked to call Crimestoppers at (918) 596-2677.
