Tulsa's Cox Business Center is about to be transformed into a free dental clinic.

Organizers announced plans on Friday to bring the Oklahoma "Mission of Mercy" event back to Tulsa.

It'll be February 6-7, beginning at 5 a.m. Volunteers hope to treat about 2,000 dental patients during those two days for everything from cleanings, fillings and extractions.

It is a free event.

"We're not going to solve every single dental problem they have, but everybody presents with some problem and we want to make sure we address those problems and then if there's other things we can take care of while we're there, we want to take care of them,” OK Mission of Mercy's C. Rieger Wood III said.

Nearly 9,000 Oklahomans have received free dental care since 2012, and it is care that otherwise would have cost more than $5.5 million.
