Workers were sent to a break on North Memorial near Latimer just after noon. The flooded street didn't stop drivers from going through high water on Memorial. A nearby utility pole next to the broken line was seen leaning over Memorial Drive.
Two breaks early Tuesday on 11th Street near Highway 169 and Gary Place and Independence followed on the heels of numerous water line breaks Sunday and Monday.
Officials say since Sunday, workers have been busy going from one water line break to another. Several residents and businesses are without water because of the breaks but the city doesn't have an exact number of those impacted.
These breaks have occurred during some of the hottest days of the summer. Officials says the city is actively working on a continuing project to update the city's aging water lines, by replacing about 20 miles of water lines a year.
