Every year since 1978, the last weekend in October has brought runners from all over to Tulsa for the 15-kilometer Tulsa Run.

Editor's note: We're about to move into a new building, so we're taking inventory of everything in our current one. We've found all kinds of interesting old stories and we're sharing the best of them here.

Every year since 1978, the last weekend in October has brought runners from all over to Tulsa for the 15-kilometer Tulsa Run.

The Video Vault was full of Tulsa Run stories—stories about weather, families running together and about wheelchair participants, among them.

As Rick Wells shows us, 30 years ago, the Tulsa Run was jammed with people wearing really short running shorts.

This year's Tulsa Run is a sold out event. It starts Saturday morning.

Both the start and finish are downtown, and much of Riverside drive will be closed for the duration of the race.
