Suspect In Tulsa Courthouse Shooting Attempts Escape

The man accused of firing shots outside the Tulsa county courthouse last month, injuring a deputy, is facing additional charges.

Andrew Dennehy has been charged with trying to escape and assaulting an officer.

Prosecutors say it happened while Dennehy was in the hospital.  They say he claimed he had to use the restroom.  When the deputy unhooked Dennehy's leg cuffs, Dennehy tried to run away but ended up falling into the deputy.

Dennehy is already charged with two counts of shooting with intent to kill.
