A Tulsa campaign to recycle cardboard, plastic and other holiday waste is proving to be a big success.
Tulsa Recycle and Transfer says their first ever "Dreaming of a Recycled Christmas" campaign has seen collections of 80,000 to almost 100,000 pounds of material a day between December 26th to 28th.
"This campaign is about everybody working together as a community to have a huge impact on our environment in Tulsa," said Tom Hill, CEO of TRT, American Environmental Landfill and American Waste Control.
The campaign goal is 1,000,000 pounds of recyclables by January 10, 2012. As of December 28, 2011, TRT had received 262,000 pounds of recyclables.
