The main highway between the Oklahoma communities of Nowata and Vinita will be closing until April 2012 so crews can build a new railroad overpass and widen U.S. Highway 60 west of Vinita in Craig County.

The overpass is over BNSF railroad tracks.

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation says U.S. Highway 60 eastbound and westbound traffic will be rerouted east on U.S. Highway 66 to Chelsea and north on state Highway 28 just east of Nowata.
