BARTLESVILLE, OK -- A Bartlesville man who told police he "power-bombed" a four-year-old boy onto the child's bed and a door in April surrendered to police officers Friday and was booked into the Washington County jail on a complaint of child abuse.
Twenty-eight-year-old David Laird is being held in the Washington County jail on $100,000 bond.
Bartlesville Police tell The News On 6, the boy was taken to a Bartlesville hospital following the incident on April 29 with a fractured skull and numerous bruises over his back and legs.
Officers say Laird first told them the boy had fallen causing the injuries, but later said he was angry and had picked the boy up over Laird's head and thrown him onto the child's bed and then into a door.
The boy was transferred to a Tulsa hospital where he has since been released.
