Independence, Kansas---One of the 440 people working on the Mustang business jet at the Cessna Independence assembly plant is Clint Norris of Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
‘I love my job, I love what I do,' said Norris, a Team Leader at the sprawling plant, ‘it's all I've really ever done and I hope I can do this and retire doing this.
And with completion of the 300th Mustang, a fully-certified entry-level business jet costing around 3 million dollars, Director for Operations Cessna Terry Clark is happy to keep Oklahomans like Clint Norris employed.
‘After a few years of seeing the assembly area basically be empty,' said Clark, ‘in our business we're cautiously optimistic that we are at the bottom end of an economic trough, and we're going to build more airplanes and sell more airplane. We like to see the sky as the limit.'
